East West Mural Fest at 633 Belton

This year we took part in East-West Mural Fest and had the amazing Kay Gallivan coach a group of aspiring muralists at our site on 633 Belton. It seemed like a perfect opportunity - we had a boring old drab wall, event organizers were looking for practice spaces, and who doesn’t like a little local placemaking? I couldn’t be more happy with the end result and after more than 2 years of pandemic woes, “You Are Loved” is exactly what we all need to hear.

The mural was also a beautiful opportunity to bring people together. You could feel their pride and joy as the muralists did their work. Neighbours walking by were delighted. It was a joyful, uplifting experience to reflect joyful, uplifting artwork.
