Cycling as a Lifestyle
Cycling is the most efficient method of transportation known to humankind - so it makes sense that it's also at the centre of how we build our homes. Our projects include a large, accessible bicycle garage with enough space for bikes of all shapes and sizes (including your beautiful cargo bike) and all the bells and whistles (electric charging, tune-up station, wash station, etc.). We've carefully designed every detail to make cycling as convenient and fun as possible.
Better When Shared
We shouldn’t use them for everything but let’s face it, cars are really handy for some things. For the occasional time you need a lift, we provide an onsite MODO car. Whether it’s a quick trip to the hardware store or weekend away with the family, you’ve got 4 wheels when you need it. Plus you’ll also have access to the whole MODO car-share fleet to pick whichever vehicle best suits your needs.
Carbon-Light Design
Building materials have a dramatic impact on a home's total carbon footprint, which is why we use as many materials with low embodied carbon as possible - like wood instead of synthetic alternatives. We use a “best conventional” approach to material selection so we can balance total carbon footprint, affordability and building code requirements.
